The primary goal of Walk Across Arkansas is to "help Arkansans achieve a healthy lifestyle together". Therefore, everyone is welcome to join. Anyone can participate, there is no age limit!

Some suggestions of team categories:

  • Families
  • Worksites
  • Teachers
  • Youth (under age 18)
  • Seniors (65+)
  • Faith-based members
  • General (a combination of above)

Walk Across Arkansas is an 8 week exercise campaign where you and your team set personal goals for physical activity and try to meet them (with a little help from your friends!) Most of our participants enjoy the camaraderie they share with team members. We have also learned that many of our participants have had more energy, enjoyed better sleep, and found new friends along with a host of other benefits!

Walking is one of the least expensive and easiest ways to get fit. Start now and reduce your risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Increase your chances of success by joining Arkansans as they walk towards a healthier life.

Teachers and students!

We strive to equip young people with healthy living knowledge and skills to prepare them to meet today's challenges physically, emotionally, and socially.

Walking Across Arkansas is a great way for children to become more physically active. Schools can participate in the 8-week walk by allowing teachers to register their students.
